Two of the colleagues at work are talking about cashless payments.
A: High, Andy. Did you see the interesting TV show last night?
A: Hey Andy, did you see that interesting TV show last night?
B: Are you talking about the program on cashless payment?
B: You mean the show about cashless payment?
A: That’s right. It seems that I should seriously consider it.
A: Oh yeah. Apparently I should give it some serious thought.
B: Are you still using cash to buy things?
B: Are you still buying things with cash?
A:そうよ。
A: Yes. It looks like I will have to give up some of my privacy if I go cash-free.
A: Yes, I do. I feel that if I go cashless, I’ll have to sacrifice some privacy.
B: What privacy? You must have a credit card, and that means you’ve already given away some of your personal information.
B: What kind of privacy? I’m sure you have a credit card, so that means you’re sacrificing some personal information.
A: I know, but I doubt that I can keep things like my spending habits completely private once I start paying electronically using smartphone apps.
A: I know, but I don’t think I can keep anyone in the dark about my spending habits, once I start using electronic money on my phone app.
B: It’s not that big of a deal. Frankly speaking, I think society should be completely cash-free.
B: It’s not a big deal. Frankly, I think the world would be better off if it went completely cashless.
A: I’m afraid I don’t think so. There should be options for everyone. Some people don’t even have bank accounts and can’t get credit cards. Some people can’t even buy smartphones.
A: Unfortunately, I don’t think so. Everyone should be given a choice. Some people don’t even have a bank account, some people can’t get a credit card. Some people can’t even afford a cell phone.
B: That’s true. Well, let’s talk about this more next time. I have a meeting in five minutes.
B: That’s true. Well, we can talk about this next time, I have a meeting in five minutes.
